Three Important Sex Toy Tips

When you want to introduce sex toys into your sexual relationship, there are some things you should do first.  There are three sex toy tips you can follow to make sure that you and your partner are going to enjoy using them.

  1. Talk to Your Partner Before Using Any Sex Toy

If you have not spoken to your sexual partner before introducing a sex toy then you may be in for a big surprise.  Not everyone enjoys using sex toys.  This is the most important of the three sex toy tips.  Always discuss before hand what toys, if any, that your partner is comfortable with.  You may find that your partner was thinking about asking you the same thing.  Be open and honest about what you like and do not like and listen to your partner’s likes and dislikes as well.

  1. Listen to Your Partner

You or your partner may have agreed to use a sex toy in order to make the other happy.  If using this toy is making you uncomfortable, you need to speak up and let your partner know.  Also, if you partner does not seem to be enjoying it, you need to stop as well.

Do not try and talk your partner into letting you continue because you want to.  This can make your partner distrust you in the future.  In some cases, people may say no when they mean yes.  You can come up with a word that can be used instead that is going to tell you it is time to stop.  Listening to your partner is very important.

  1. Keep The Toys Clean

This may seem obvious, but some people may just think that wiping the toy off and throwing it in a drawer is going to be clean enough.  It is not, under any circumstances.  There are many products for cleaning sex toys.  Soap and water can also be used when there is nothing else available.  Keep any electrical or battery operated parts dry when cleaning.
