Remember how easy it was before to be romantic with your spouse?  As time passes and we become more engrossed with the mundane activities necessary towards running and raising a family romance takes a backseat until finally it just becomes something that the both of you used to engage in.
It is possible to bring back the romance in your marriage.  But like all things worth having, it will require a little time and effort on your part.
One thing to keep in mind about romance is it is all about expression.  You have to re-learn how to express your love and gratitude to that special woman who has stuck to you through thick and thin and loved you through your highs and lows.  Thinking about it that way, the effort and time you expend at thinking of ways to romance your wife does not seem to be too high a price at all.
Look at yourself in the mirror.  Have you let yourself gone to seed?  Pay attention to your appearance and personal hygiene.  When you do this, you are telling your wife two things:  first is that you care enough about her to want to remain attractive to her and second is that you respect yourself enough to take care of yourself.  When we stay in a relationship long enough we tend to take things for granted.  Personal hygiene should not be one of these things.  When we smell pleasant our wives will want to linger by our side longer.  Giving gifts could also make her feel more special, a sexy lingerie or sexy costumes can be a nice naughty gift, making her feel that you like seeing her in those lingerie.  For those husbands with a bigger budget, a enjoying a romantic vacation can be a great idea for the both of you, it’s a good way to bond once again with your wives.
When was the last time you held your wife’s hand?  Or touched her over the breakfast table?  Touching is a great way to express your affection and love to one another.  You must have held each other more often when your love affair with your wife was new.  Somewhere along the way of raising a family, touching or physical contact suddenly fell by the way side.  Reignite romance with your wife by holding, touching or hugging her more often.  It is a free, easy and most effective way of communicating to her your love, affection and gratitude.
When was the last time you told your wife she looked pretty?  When did you last tell her that the dinner she prepared was delicious?  The tendency for most married couples is that the frequency of compliments lessens as time goes by.  Worse, compliments could be replaced by nagging or criticizing.  We start to focus on the negative things and take the positive for granted.  Remember the things you loved about your spouse and find new things to compliment her about.
